Day
The Day record shows all business activities for a given day, a
summary number of new listings and total value of new listings.
It also displays promised payments from debtors. Other financial
details, including payments, client payments, commission
information, and bank deposit amounts are also displayed.
Buttons on the daysheet form may be selected to view specific
sets of records with a date stamp that matches the daysheet
you are viewing.
Day form
Please refer to Daysheet Basics for steps to
access this form.
Most fields are read only as they are calculated by
Collect! when a daysheet is created or recalculated.
The Date field is accessible and the buttons may be
selected to display related records in a list.
Date
The date displayed is the date of the Day form you
are viewing. You may select a new date by selecting
on the Calendar icon to the right of the Date field.
Select a date to view and the Daysheet for that date
will be displayed. You can also enter a date manually
to view a desired day.
This is the date displayed as MM/DD/YYYY.
Paid
This read only field is the total value of all positive
To Us or Direct amounts from all transactions
with a Posted Date that matches the date of the
daysheet you are viewing. Any transaction that
has been flagged to omit from Daily Cash is NOT
tallied in this total value.
Any negative amounts are NOT be
included in this total. Any transaction
with the flag Omit from Daily Cash set
will NOT be included in this total.
From Clients
This read only field is the total value of client payments
posted on the viewed day. These are payment records
created through the Client form or when posting client
payments through the Payments and Charges menu.
This value does not consider debtor transactions.
Bank Deposit
This read only field is the total value for your bank deposits
in dollars for the viewed day. This is the total of the Paid
and the From Clients fields. It should balance to the
amount of money that you are depositing in the bank for
the viewed day.
Negative entries for items such as NSF
checks are not included in this calculation.
You cannot deposit negative amounts.
Commission
This read only field is the total value of commissions earned
for the viewed day. Collect! looks at all transactions whose
posted date matches the viewed day that do not have the
Omit from Daily Cash flag set. The total commission
amounts from the transactions is placed in the Commission
field.
Month To Date
This read only field is the total value of all amounts in the
Commission field for each daysheet from the first day of
the daysheet month up to the date of the viewed day.
Collect! reads the Commission field for each day of the
viewed daysheet month and tallies a total up to the date
of the viewed day. This total is placed in the Month To Date
field.
Promised
This read only field is the total value of promised payment
transactions and promise contact amounts. Collect! first looks
for all transactions with a Payment Date matching the
viewed day but no Posted Date entered. If Omit from
Daily Cash is not flagged, the amounts in the To Us or
Direct fields are totaled.
Next Collect! looks at all contacts of type Promise with
a Due Date matching the viewed daysheet. If the Promise
contact is not marked done, the value in the Amount field
of the Promise contact is added to the total Promised.
Number
This read only field is the number of all accounts listed today.
Collect! counts the number of accounts whose Listed Date
matches the viewed day and displays the total number of
accounts in the Number field.
Value
This read only field is the total of the Original Principal
and Original Interest amount for each account whose
Listed Date matches the viewed day. If a judgement
has been entered on the account, then the Judgement
Principal and Judgement Interest are used in the totals
and the Original Principal and Original Interest prior to
the Judgement Date are ignored.
Contacts Done
This read only field is the total of all contacts with a Due
Date that matches the viewed day that are not Letter
type contacts. Collect! scans the contacts list for all
contacts excluding letter type contacts and places the
total number of contacts in this Done field.
This field label may be a bit misleading as it does not
mean contacts that have been marked done.
Remaining Contacts
This read only field is the total of all contacts with a
Due Date that matches the viewed day that are not Letter
type contacts and have NOT been completed. Collect!
scans the contacts list for all contacts excluding Letter
type contacts. Collect! places the total number of
remaining contacts in this Remaining field.
Mail
Mail Done. This read only field is the total number of
all Letter type contacts with a Due Date that matches
the viewed day. Collect! scans the contacts list for
all Letter type contacts to include in this total.
This field label may be a bit misleading as it does not mean
Letter contacts that have been marked done.
Remaining Mail
This read only field is the total of all Letter type contacts
with a Due Date that matches the viewed day that have NOT
been completed. Collect! scans the contacts list for Letter
type contacts. Collect! places the total number of remaining
in progress Letter contacts in this Remaining field.
Transactions
Select the Transactions button to display the list of all Debtor
transactions whose Posted Date matches the date of the
viewed day. If there are no transactions with a matching
Posted Date, Collect! will prompt you to clear the search
criteria. If you select No, you will be returned to the Day form.
If you select yes, Collect! will display a list of all transactions
entered in Collect! regardless of the Posted Date.
Payments
Select the Payments tab to display the list of all Client
Payments whose Payment Date matches the date of the
viewed day. If there are no payments with a matching
payment date, Collect! will prompt you to clear the search
criteria. If you select No, you will be returned to the Day form.
If you select yes, Collect! will display a list of all payments
entered in Collect! regardless of the Payment Date.
Promises
Select the Promises button to display the list of all debtor
transactions whose Payment Date matches the date of
the viewed day with no Posted Date entered on the
transaction.
Promise transactions are used by credit grantors,
while third party collections use the Promise
Contact method. If you are not familiar with the
promise transaction method, you will probably
not have any transactions posted without a Payment
Date. Collect! will prompt you to clear the search
criteria. If you select No, you will be returned to the
Day form. If you select yes, Collect! will display a list
of all transactions entered in Collect! regardless of the
Posted Date.
New Listings
Select the New Listings button to display the list of all debtor
accounts whose Listed Date matches the date of the viewed day.
If there are no accounts with a matching Listed Date, Collect!
will prompt you to clear the search criteria. If you select No,
you will be returned to the Day form. If you select yes, Collect!
will display a list of all debtors entered in Collect! regardless of
the Listed Date.
Contacts
Select the Contacts tab to display the list of all contacts
whose Due Date matches the date of the viewed day. If there
are no contacts with a matching Due Date, Collect! will prompt
you to clear the search criteria. If you select, No you will be
returned to the Day form. If you select yes, Collect! will display
a list of all contacts entered in Collect! regardless of the Due Date.

Select this button for help on the Daysheet form
and links to related topics.
Recalculate
Select this button to recalculate totals for all totals
on the Daysheet form. This only works in your
active database. You cannot Recalculate in the
Archive database.
OK
Select this button to go to the previous form.

Select this button to go to the next Daysheet.
Delete
This button is visible only on the list of all Daysheets.
Select this to delete the highlighted item from the
database.
Edit
This button is visible only on the list of all Daysheets.
Select this to open and edit the highlighted item.

This button is visible only on the list of all Daysheets.
