How To Print Client Status Reports

You may want to generate client status reports showing how you are doing for accounts listed on certain dates. This example demonstrates the use of conditionals in reports to produce a daily report and the use of the Find function to produce an ad hoc report.

Daily Listings Status Report

Create a New Report

1. Select Print from the top menu bar and a drop-down list of choices is displayed.

2. Select Edit Reports from the list and press Enter.

3. Press CTRL+END to move of the end of the list.

4. Press F3 to create a new report.

5. Type ' Client Daily Listing Status' and press ENTER.

6. Select Day for the Start On: field and press ENTER.

Build the Report Body

Create the following report body:

Daily Listing Status Report

Client: @cl.na

Report Date: @e

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ACCOUNT DEBTOR LISTED PAID OWING

@cl.de WHERE (@de.li = @d)
@de.ac @de.na @de.pr @de.pa @de.ow
@cl.de

Note this report does not include interest. @f

Press F8 to close the report body and F8 again to close and save the report.

Print the Report

1. Pull down the Browse menu, select Clients.

2. Select the client you want the report for.

3. Pull down the Browse menu, select Daysheets and press Enter.

4. Select the day you want the report for and press Enter.

5. Pull down the Print menu, select Reports and Letters and press Enter.

6. Select the report we created and press Enter.

Ad Hoc Summary Reports

The report shown above, while useful, is limited to all accounts listed on one day only. You may want a summary status report for all accounts listed over a range of dates. The following example shows how this can be done.

Create a New Report

1. Pull down the Browse menu.

2. Select Edit Reports and press Enter.

3. Press CTRL+END to move of the end of the list.

4. Press F3 to create a new report.

5. Type 'Client Listing Status' and press Enter.

6. Select Client for the Start On: field and press Enter.

Build the Report Body

Create the following report body:

Summary Status Report

Client: @cl.na

Report Date: @e

This report is for a range of dates

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ACCOUNT DEBTOR LISTED PAID OWING

@cl.de where (@de.li = ?)
@de.ac @de.na @de.pr @de.pa @de.ow
@cl.de

Print the Report

1. Pull down the Browse menu, select Clients.

5. Select the report we created and press Enter.

6. Print the report.

7. Pull down the Browse menu, select Clear Selection and press Enter.
