Operator Sample - System Operator

This sample shows a System Operator setup. A System operator would need access to the Main Menu and would generally have more access than other operators using Collect!. The effect of the settings shown on the Operator form in this sample are explained in further detail below.


System Operator with Details

The Operator Name is the user's Alias, the name that may be printed on letters and reports. The Operator Actual Name is not printed on any of the sample letters or reports.

This user's Operator Title is currently printed in the signature of many sample reports. The Phone Number and Email Address may also be used for reports. The Private Phone is not printed on any sample letters.

This user has not been assigned a Commission Rate, therefore Collect! will not calculate any commission for this operator.

The Operator Type is set to SYSTEM which instructs Collect! to take the user to Main Menu on signing in.

System Operator Details

In the Operator Detail tab:

The Messaging is set to NORMAL. This means Collect! will prompt twice for most important functions, such as deleting forms.

Printing is set to DEVICE CONTEXT. In other words, Collect! will use printer driver information when sending report jobs to the printer.

The Automatic Recalc switch tells Collect! to automatically recalc any Active debtor when the account is opened.

The Notes color field is set to BLUE. Any notes lines visible when looking at a debtor will be displayed in this blue color for note lines with this operator's ID stamp (OWN). The Notes color is visible before opening the Debtor Notes.

System Operator Security

In the Operator Security tab:


System Operator Security Settings

The User Level is set to 10, a very open user level. This user will be able to access virtually every aspect of Collect!. For example, notice that this user level has is able to edit any field on the Debtor form displayed above.

The Allow Browser Signon check mark enables this user to access Collect! through the Internet, or through a browser.
