Collect! Tip of the Month
Did you know that you can quickly and easily assign accounts to operators and teams of operators? Using Collect!s powerful batch operations you can:

*Select a group of accounts based on any criteria
*Assign the group of accounts to a single operator
*Assign the group of accounts to a set of operators
*Balance the assigned accounts across a team of operators by dollar value and number of accounts
*Assign the accounts by Round Robin across a selected set of operators equally, without regard to dollar value or number of accounts

For more detailed information on how to do this using Collect! see our online help topic on Account Toss by clicking on the following link. http://collect.org/cv11/Help/accounttoss.html

Electronic Payment Providers

Major Survey Finds Debit Card Use on the Rise

Fueled by the increase in debit card acceptance, the number of consumers using debit cards for day to day purchases continues to increase, according to results from Standard Register's Second National Consumer Survey of Plastic Card Usage. Conducted in conjunction with Card Marketing, the survey identifies consumer awareness, opinion, and plastic card use.

Compared to the results of Standard Register's 1999 National Consumer Survey of Plastic Card Usage, more U.S. consumers are using prepaid and debit cards while the use of other cards remains virtually unchanged. The research found that the following percentages of U.S. adults use various cards:

* Credit cards - 88%
* ATM cards - 60%
* Debit cards - 35%

What does this information mean to billing agents and collectors? With increasing reliance on debit and other forms of plastic cards, billing agents need to cater to that reliance by providing customers with all available payment options. EPP provides businesses with a powerful solution for card acceptance that is optimized for the card-not-present environments.

Furthermore, EPP's eXpress Payments Suite allows merchants to interface directly with their Collect! software. This integration allows the merchant to receive real-time approvals and enables all accounts-receivable information to remain up-to-date automatically. Call your Comtech representative or visit www.expresspayments.com today to find out the way that EPP is helping businesses receive more payments every day. .
