Web Host Packet Logging
Log Skipped Record
NCOA Updates NCOA will handle the phone number separately from an address for a specific debtor. Existing phone numbers will only be overwritten if a new one has been returned. Old phone numbers will be written to Debtor's notes for account history. If NCOA returns a blank address, Collect! will uncheck the Address OK switch and write "No address found via NCOA" to Debtor's notes. Existing information will be left in place on the account.

Electronic Payment Providers |
Say Goodbye to Paper Checks New statistical information from NACHA, The Electronic Payments Association, reveals that check conversion is the highest quality, consumer-oriented transaction available. This means that transactions originating through Accounts Receivable Conversion (ARC), Check 21 (business and money order imaging), and RCK (NSF Check Re-Presentment) tend to have the greatest impact on businesses in terms of efficiency, while at the same time minimizing implementation and customer service issues. "The quality of ARC in the marketplace is extraordinary," noted Elliott C. McEntee, President and Chief Executive Officer of NACHA. "Not only is ARC the fastest growing application in the history of the ACH Network, but it also performs better than any other consumer-oriented ACH debit application." The third important component to check scanning beyond check conversion (ARC and Check 21) is Check Re-Presentment (RCK). Through RCK, dishonored checks are converted into an electronic transaction and re-presented electronically on strategic dates via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network. Using this method, checks are re-presented more quickly and generally retain priority status in the banking network. If the account still contains insufficient funds, the process allows a third strategic presentment. Despite the rapid adoption of check-scanning products, research and adjustment departments in bank operations today are siloed for different payment types; for example, ACH, check, credit card, and debit card payments are all separate processes. Difficulties in problem resolution arise when payments cross boundaries, such as checks being converted to ACH. Consolidating all payments under one management structure will generate cost efficiencies, reduce redundant processes, and improve customer service. The ARC application became effective on March 15, 2002 and allows checks delivered to remittance and lockbox locations to be converted into ACH debits. Check 21 followed in 2004. Since that time, Electronic Payment Providers (EPP) has been an industry leader in this powerful technology. If you or any member of your organization would like more information on check conversion or check re-presentment, please contact EPP at (877) 377-2677 or visit our web site at http://www.expresspayments.com. ![]() |
