TCN Service
Collect! and TCN Broadcasting work together to enable you
to deliver messages to any phone, any time. You complete
your setup with TCN, select the accounts for your campaign
and let TCN and Collect! take care of the rest. TCN Service
saves valuable time, increases productivity and maximizes
your returns.
TCN Service requires that you have set up
an account with TCN and have acquired your Username
and Password to enter into Collect! in the TCN Setup
form. Default reporting formats are provided with Collect!.
TCN Service is an add-on extension module
enabled in CV11.3.2 and newer. If you have upgraded from
an earlier version, you may need to request a new license
from Comtech Systems to enable the feature.
Collect! provides a default report for submitting your
call campaign to TCN and a default import for processing
returns. You can modify them as needed to suit your criteria.
The entire process of setting up and sending a broadcast to a
dozen or several thousand people is as easy as sending an
email, once you have your call campaign report and campaign
results import in place. The report and import that you use
can be tailored to your requirements and then the TCN
process will use these for every campaign. If your needs
change, you can easily modify Collect!'s reports and imports
to suit your new needs.
TCN supports international dialing.
Please get in touch with Client Services at TCN for international
pricing and information.

Processing TCN Campaigns
Collect!'s Batch Processing feature enables you to schedule
TCN call campaigns and to process returns. Campaign
scheduling and reporting are easily accomplished without
leaving the Collect! interface. Behind the scenes, Collect! logs
into the TCN web site for you, uploading data, retrieving results
and updating your database records.
The two functions that TCN batch processing performs are:
We will discuss the details of each of these.
TCN Select Function
TCN Schedule Calls
The TCN Schedule Calls process is used when you want
to schedule a call campaign. This function uses a
pre-defined Collect! report to gather the information for
the accounts you want to include.
Collect! ships with several TCN reports that can
be used. The simplest report sends the Home phone
number along with Name, File Number and ZIP for each
account. The full data report sends additional information
such as all four available Phone Numbers. You can modify
the reports as needed to filter accounts. For example, you
might want to include accounts with a particular Status, or
Listed Date or some other criteria that you require.
The Collect! reports match default templates set up already
at the TCN web site for your convenience. Collect! has already
registered templates that you can use.
If you make changes to any of the TCN reports
in Collect!, you may need to modify the matching template
at the TCN site as well. This is only necessary if you
add fields or change their order, since the template needs
to match each column correctly in the information it
receives from Collect!.
Please refer to Help topic, Scheduling a Call Campaign
for details of the steps to follow when you perform
this batch process.
TCN Download Report
The TCN Download Report process is used when you want
to process the results from your previously scheduled
call campaigns. This function uses a pre-defined Collect!
import to parse the data received from TCN and process
your accounts in Collect!.
Collect! ships with three TCN Download Report import maps that
can be used.
- TCN Download Report - Contact
This import map brings in results and creates a completed
Phone Contact in Collect!.
- TCN Download Report - Notes
This import map writes results to Notes instead of creating
a Contact.
- TCN Call Report with Call ID
This import map brings in results and creates a completed
Phone Contact with the name of the recorded WAV file
in the Attach field.
The "Call ID" import should be used only when you
have set up an agreement with TCN to record the calls in
your call campaign. Then TCN will return a file to you with
all the WAV files for the recorded calls. Please see the
section, Recorded Calls, below.
The "Notes" import is recommended when you are
processing a "Call report" so that you don't flood your database
with Contacts.
The Collect! imports match templates set up already at
the TCN web site for your convenience. Collect! has already
registered templates that you can use.
If you make changes to the TCN Download Report
import maps in Collect!, you may need to modify the templates
at the TCN site as well. This is only necessary if you add fields
or change their order, since the template needs to match each
column correctly in the information it receives from TCN.
Please refer to Help topic, Processing Results from Call Campaigns
for details of the steps to follow when you perform this batch process.
When using the Demo database with a Demo license,
you are limited to processing 10 records.
Recorded Calls
TCN can record the calls in your campaign and return a WAV
file for each call. These are uniquely named with a "Call ID"
that Collect! uses to store the name of the file in the Phone
Contact it creates. The file name is stored in the Attach field
and you can listen to it with any application on your PC that
can open files with the *.wav extension. Please refer to Help
topic, TCN Recorded Calls for details.
TCN Scrub By ZIP
Scrub by ZIP is a service that TCN provides for establishing
do not call areas. You must activate this with your TCN
provider and they will ensure that your TCN templates are
updated to process ZIP codes. For details, please speak
with your TCN Service representative.
Currently, Scrub By ZIP only works with
United States Postal Codes.
Collect! ships with reports that send the Debtor's ZIP Code
along with Phone and other details. If you are not set up to
send the ZIP Code in your TCN reports, you can download the
updated reports from the TCN Service section in the Collect!
Member Center Widgets area.

TCN Scrub Cell Phone
Cell phone scrubbing is a service provided by TCN. You must
activate this with your TCN provider. Please refer to Help topic,
Scheduling a Call Campaign for enabling this in Collect!.
