section is highlighted.
Tax
Up to four Tax rates may be set with payment
breakdown options. Press F1 for help when the Tax
section is highlighted.
Tax Rate
Enter the tax rate, if applicable. This rate will be entered
automatically in the client settings for every new client that
you enter in your system.
This is a percentage. (For example, 7% would be entered
as 7.0) If you are taxed on the commissions that you earn,
and this is a flat rate billed to your clients, please enter
the percentage here and fill in the Tax ID # field, as well.
For example, in Canada, we have a Goods and Services
Tax on all services we provide. This GST is 7%. In our
province, we also have a PST that is 7.5%. These two numbers
would be added together and 14.5% would be the flat tax
rate to be entered in this field, as 14.5. These taxes
can be separated out to print in reports.
This tax is only calculated on any commissions
you receive on services or collections. If no taxes
are applied to your commissions, then leave this
field blank.
The Tax Rate field holds up to 6 digits (or 5 digits and a
period, e.g. 7.4563) and is referenced in reports by using
the code @cd.tr
