ACH Payments Setup

The ACH Payments Setup form enables you to enter the details for your Billing Tree ACH payments. Use this form to enter the Server and UserId information given to you by Billing Tree when you set up your ACHNow Web Service account for ACH transactions. Other information entered in this form will be used as defaults for your ACH payments.

tip.gif To use Billing Tree Service for ACH payments in Collect!, you must have an ACHNow Web Service account set up with Billing Tree.


ACH Payments Setup

tip.gif To access the ACH Payments Setup form, select System from the top menu bar and then select Preferences to display the System Setup form. Then select the BILLING TREE SETUP button.

Server

Enter the URL of the secure server for your ACH transactions with Billing Tree. This URL will have been provided to you when you set up your ACHNow Web Service account with Billing Tree. It must begin with "https://"

tip.gif To use Billing Tree Service for ACH payments in Collect!, you must have an ACHNow Web Service account set up with Billing Tree.

Userid

Enter the ACHNow Web Service Userid provided to you when you set up your ACHNow Web Service account with Billing Tree. If you have more than one account set up, enter the Userid you want your operators to use most frequently. The ACH Password prompt will auto-fill with this Userid.

tip.gif You can set up different user accounts at Billing Tree if you need to set different transaction limits for your Billing Tree operators. Each Billing Tree ACHNow Web Service account that you set up with Billing Tree will have a unique Userid. You can enter a per session login, as needed, to access a power user account.

tip.gif If you intend to use more than one ACHNow Web Service account to post your transactions, please be aware that you must run a reconcile for EACH Userid. Currently transactions are stored by ACHNow Web Service according to the Userid that posts them.

To use Billing Tree Service for ACH payments in Collect!, you must have an ACHNow Web Service account set up with Billing Tree.

Last Reconcile Date

This is the last date that " Reconcile ACH History" was run successfully. If you have never run "Reconcile ACH History," enter the date that you established your account with Billing Tree. Future reconcile attempts will query transactions between this date and the day that they are run, inclusively.

tip.gif Collect! updates this field automatically when you complete your reconciles successfully. Ordinarily, you shouldn't have to adjust the date you see in this field. Please refer to Reconcile ACH History for more information.

Payment

Select the Transaction Type that you want Collect! to use for your Billing Tree ACH payments. This Transaction Type must already exist in your list of Transaction Types and it must be a "Payment" type.

Payment Reversal

Select the Transaction Type that you want Collect! to use for transactions created to offset previously posted payments when they are returned as NSF. This Transaction Type must already exist in your list of Transaction Types and it must be a "Payment" type.

NSF Charge

Select the Transaction Type that you want Collect! to use for transactions created to charge an NSF fee to the Debtor's account when a payment reversal is posted. This Transaction Type must already exist in your list of Transaction Types and it should be a "Fee" type.

tip.gif Leave this field blank if you do not want to charge an NSF fee for transactions returned NSF from Billing Tree.

Convenience Fees

Collect! enables you to add a convenience fee to the ACH transaction you are processing. This is a default setting that may be overridden on an individual basis.

tip.gif To charge convenience fees, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are allowed to do this in your jurisdiction and according to your agreement with your Clients.

Enable

Switch this ON with a check mark if you want to allow the addition of a Convenience Fee when processing ACH payments. You must also select a Transaction Type to use for the fee.

tip.gif If you switch this ON, then any Clients whose Debtors may be charged this fee must also have the "ACH convenience fees" switch enabled in their Client Settings.

Fee

Select the Transaction Type that you want Collect! to use for your ACH Convenience Fee. This Transaction Type must already exist in your list of Transaction Types and it should be a "Fee" type.

tip.gif If you have switched ON "Enable" for convenience fees, then you must select a Transaction Type to use for applying the fee.

Fee Reversal

Select the Transaction Type that you want Collect! to use to offset previously posted fees when a payment reversal is posted. This Transaction Type must already exist in your list of Transaction types and it should be a "Fee" type.

tip.gif If you have switched ON "Enable" for convenience fees, then you must select a Transaction Type to use for fee reversal.

NSF Cancels Recurring Payments

Switch this ON with a check mark to tell Collect! to remove any future dated "Payment" type transactions from the Debtor's account when any recurring ACH payments are returned NSF.

If you have enabled EFT notification, then any pending EFT notification letters will also be deleted.

Enable Verbose Logging

Switch this ON with a check mark to enable verbose message logging to the Application Log for troubleshooting your Billing Tree ACH payment processes.

OK

Select OK to close the ACH Payments Setup form.
